About SchemaVela
SchemaVela is an independent technical publication about API schemas, data contracts, versioning, webhooks, and the tests around them. The site is written for backend engineers, integration engineers, platform engineers, solution architects, and technical product managers who have to keep two systems talking after a change.
What the notes are
A note explains a design choice and names the specification or guideline it relies on. Tables separate a rule in a cited document from a reading by this desk. Code fragments are illustrations of those rules. They are not captures from a live service, and they do not describe a customer.
The first set of notes was published on 5 November 2026. SchemaVela does not claim an earlier archive, a client roster, or a measured share of any market.
Who signs the notes
Notes are signed by SchemaVela editors. That line is the publication, not a named person. A personal byline is added only when a real author is identified. This page does not invent a staff list, an office, or a founding year beyond the publication date above.
What this site is not
SchemaVela does not sell an API gateway, a schema registry, or an integration product. It does not take payments, and it does not run a contact form. The only contact channel is the address on the contact page.
Corrections to a published fact are listed on the corrections page. The rules for sources and updates are on the editorial policy.
